New! ALEGRIA Gymnaestrada Group is recruiting girls aged 9 to 18 to train for Canadian Gymnaestrada 2010 held in Winnipeg. Details will be available during the tryouts.


ALEGRIA is seeking girls aged 5 and up to join our National and Provincial Stream Programs (see Competitive Programs) for 2009/2010 competitive season. We are also recruiting girls aged 5 and up for our Recreation classes.


Tryouts to assess your daughter's potential will be held throughout June (please, see June Schedule) at Max Bell Centre at the University of Manitoba (see map). ALEGRIA Club trains on the South D side of the track and field gym, turn left when you enter the gym.

ALEGRIA The Manitoba Centre for Rhythmic Gymnastics Excellence is a club  affiliated with Rhythmic Gymnastics Manitoba Inc. It is the most rapidly developing and highly competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics club in the province. It is one of the biggest National Stream clubs in Manitoba.

THE ALEGRIA PROGRAM - Goals & Objectives

The Alegria program is designed:

  • To reach the maximum level for your daughter’s potential in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics.
  • Where possible, create internationally competitive athletes
  • To create a feeling of confidence that goals can be achieved through sport
  • To create a strong foundation for their future endeavors be they in sport or in life

Between the 10 months of September to June the gymnasts spend approximately 4 - 20 hours per week cultivating physical fitness and sport specific skills. In addition, these athletes may also be involved in local, national and international competitions.

Physical and sport specific training opportunities are continued during the summer through participation in summer camps.
